                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Hydroseeding versus Sod:
The biggest advantages of hydroseeding versus Sod is the cost.  Sod, on average, costs about $0.35 / sq. ft. which can be very spendy for medium-large properties.  Hydroseeding, on the other side, is about a 1/3 of the price of Sod.  Look below at the chart to see a more close-up comparison

HYDROSEEDING

SAVINGS
5,000$2500$900$1600
10,000$4850$1700$3150

So by paying more for Sod, you get a better lawn, right?  NO!  Often times, Sod is not as healthy as hydroseeding because Sod is grown on different soils where PH factors and Soil chemistries are different than the majority of soils people try to plant grass onto.  Sod may be beautiful at first, but many Sod users have witnessed their "instant-green lawn" turn yellow-colored and spotty within only a few weeks.  Hydroseeding allows the seeds to grow with your soil where PH levels and Chemistry are not as crucial.

Hydroseeding versus Hand-Seeding:
The biggest advantage of Hydroseeding versus Hand-Seeding is the outcome.  Hand-seeding is effected most by birds and rainBirds love to eat grass seed while Rain tends to wash away seeds.  Both situations can cause patchy lawns.  Hydroseeding uses fertilizer, tacifier (glue), and mulch which birds typically don't find a pleasing meal.  The tacifier helps prevent wash-outs by up to 300%!
